There is plenty of room. In fact chances are it will be scuttled due to lack of interest. If you are up for a 24 hr romp we have almost 70 signed up for the Minuteman.

I shapened the proverbial pencil and took a few things out of the budget to get the cost down. The GM 400 is $100 which includes three meals, swag and prizes.

Well it has been very busy here at Minuteman / GM 400 central. We have good response to the Minuteman and the on-line registration is working great.

I am a bit delayed in opening registration to the GM400. I am leaving the country until the 18 and will open registration when I return. I will be at the February breakfast with more information.

The Green Mountain 400 registration will be following in a few days.

As an FYI registration opened at approximately 13:00 and there is a steady stream of folks signing up. If you want to do the GM 400 I strongly suggest you reserve a room sooner as opposed to later. Feel free to send me a message through this board for details.

I would think that I would want a cell phone if I am going to be all over NE on a bike built before '83. My Yamaha cafe racer should be completed by then. I do not trust my mechanical skills blindly. I feel a cell should be allowed. After all, how am I going to call my wife to pick me up with the pickup after a wheel falls off the bike!

It is not like there are pay phone on the streets anymore. Not that anyone ever broke down in front of one. My luck it is usually 5 miles...

Rob, You will need to recruit the Big Maine Woman to do full body searches of all Vintage entrants to be sure they don't leave with 'gadgets' in their riding gear. Just a thought.

Minuteman and Green Mountain 400 will run from the same place on June 7, 2008.

For the record vintage will mean period equipment, i.e. no GPS / cell phone or other electronic gagets mounted on the bike.

The exception to this rule is riding gear does not have to be of the same ear as the machine.

As you may be aware after a break the Green Mountain 400 is back.

Some history…

The Green Mountain was originally held in Vermont over Columbus Day Weekend. While we enjoyed a few successful years at the Ascutney Mountain Resort it became too expensive to continue. Generally for us to have a successful event anywhere other than in a campground we need go off season unless we want to spend quite a bit of money.

Considering that Columbus Day weekend is also peak...
