So, I lost one of my keys to my bike and was wondering where I can go to make another copy? Can I just go to Home Depot or do I have to go to the dealer? I
have a '02 R1150R.

You will need a blank from the dealer but any locksmith can cut the key.

True, you have to get a blank from the dealer. When I needed a key, I found that most places won't cut them - they have to be able to cut steel. Maybe that
wasn't true for your bike, but it was for the F650. I ended up having the dealer get it cut. No local place wanted to ruin their machines cutting such a
hard metal. MuriElf

what is your location? i know a bunch of locksmiths in Mass and Rhode Island that carry Beemer blanks.brass ones not steel that the dealer sells that no one will cut |

Ditto on Comm. Wealth Locks - Porter Square, Cambridge - Just down the Rd. from Roach's Sporting Goods at 1957 Mass. Ave. for all your guns needs here in
Cambridge. Free parking on the sidewalk as well.

There is a shop in Framingham on 135 across from the verizon building just before La cantina. Helps if you can bring the bike , the locksmith there liks to
make sure it works before you go. SS

after you get the key made go to La Cantina for lunch
