I'll be there but just for Friday nite. I have a
pressing need to confer with a member who identifies
himself as an officer, attorney, gentleman biker, one who
is licensed to carry, and several other appelations that
rival those of any eastern potentate. J. Murray

Yup- Vikings large and small will be in
attendance.
Jesse finally delivered my new bags and wuz up in the wee hours puttin' em on! How many bolts can you go without? I may have lost a few in the dark. My neighbor asked me what i wuz doin under the streetlamp on my hands and knees...told him i was looking for the bolt I dropped under my bike. He reminded me that my scoot was up in the driveway. I stood up, looked him square in the eye and said " Yeah, but the light's better over here"........ Any thing I can bring? LIquid fire to be sure, but any contributions to the community pot? |

Quote: I haven't been able to figure out if there is a community pot this year . . . . no one in "authority" has responded to that question. I'm bringing enough chili for a few people (one normal batch) and some corn bread (one batch), but it certainly won't feed everyone. Normally the YBs ship some gear up, and, maybe it was Pete's pot, but there was a pot big enough to hold a lot of chili. Several people brought chili, and dumped it all together. This year? My suggestion. Bring enough to feed yourself, and maybe we can pot luck it to some extent. My pot is small and becomes my bowl to eat out of. maybe plan to cook over the fire (baked potatoes in foil, other food in foil? Hope this helps, MuriElf |

Latest weather forecast says clear skys through the
weekend. Highs around 60 in the day and low at freezing
at night. About perfect for the nutz! Be aware, we are
seeing black flies in the hill towns. Don't know about
Jamaica yet though. You might want to bring some bug
juice.
I'll roll in Friday afternoon to join CatFish and other early arrivals. |

I have to go with the flow and currently my bike
(s) are down for the count. I've hammered my new set of
rocker arm bearings into a metal mass congregating on the
inside bottom of my left Valve cover. No sense removing
the right valve cover as i'll gather enough parts to do
both. Once i figure out WHY???
The next bike that COULD go out hasn't been road tested since installation of a bunch of experimental parts. Different carbs and homemade adaptors etc. Adapted twist grip, shortened cables and some repaired wiring and a re-shimmed transmission. But I will have a 'Date' with the Mrs instead and will have to miss Frosty Nutz for this year. As far as people in position to make a decision on the Chilli pot?? The only contact person that has been mentioned so far for this event has been Catfish to collect the money. If he isn't aware of anything being shipped to the site then i don't know who is. Muriel has a good alternative and make it a pot luck with everyone bringing their favorite own food then you can mix and try each others goodies. Sorry that I cannot be there but you never have to wait for someone in "power" to make a decision at least on the simple things like food or coffee. The riding year is short enough as it is and each event has top priority to make it the best we can for each one of us at the time prior and during its occurance. That means if none of your leadership is there, you can still have a good time and figure it out amongst yourselves. Logistics of the Toy Box or a UPS ship etc should be well known in advance of an event, or don't count on having something that you had the year before. The best that I can tell you tonight prior to all that are attending this event is that I do not have any knowledge and have not planned to ship or to truck anything to Jamaica. If someone has made arrangements then all is well. If not? Then bring what you need to have a good time. I hope this in no way puts a dampner on Jamaica but I at least need a 'heads up' to get something done. Wish I could go, all the best. Larry YB/VP |

Great Day ! | #16 | ||
|
I rode to work, the bike is all packed, I hope to
head out in the early afternoon. The air was crisp this
am, I really wanted to turn around and head North to
Jamaica, but I will get there today anyway. We should
have a fire and some cooking coals, and the spices and
olive oil have all been replenished !
See you there ! Craig |

Hey people, be aware - it sounds like there'll be
no coffee unless you bring your own. I base the on the
assumption that "nobody" UPS'd the fly,
coffee pot, and other bare necessities that we usually
enjoy. I may be jumping to conclusions, here - if so,
sorry.
I don't mean to to be picking or criticizing . . . just want to warn you that you might want to bring at least some coffee bags. BTW, one marshmellow equals one teaspoon of sugar if you get desparate! MuriElf |

Hi all,
Had a great time...weather co-operated, Cpt. Kreempuff behaved himself...all in all a blast! The young viking has already asked to go next year! Thought i'd try to post a few pics: here's the young viking on lake George:
Hey- be careful..double cliked on the pic from the album and loaded it three times!! and here we are at the Gate of Fort Ti- Closed by the way...should rode to Grey lock w/ Bruse and Shep..oh wait that was closed too....
and finally here's the young viking working on his 'wacky hat' for the fall
Boy this new board is da 'NUTZ'! you have to create an album, name it, then up load pics to it, then you just click on them when you're ready to insert!...Super..love it..and it looks like we can do HTML/SWA too....hoo boy this is gonnna be geek nirvana.... Sorry folks, no food porn....Bruce and Bob 'Aint and Roy all eat too fast to catch them in the act... Thank again for a great rally! Vikings- large and small
