If possible, and the word gets out soon, the turn out to Gould's might be pretty good. Posts: 740 04/03/08 10:18 AM Moderator	People, After careful consideration and consult with riders a lot smarter that me, I've come to the decision to keep the Goul'd Sugar House ride on Saturday, April 5 for the following reasons. This ride is traditionally known as a rain or shine event. Those of you who consistantly show up know this. We've ridden in rain, sleet and snow. The YB Wall calendar and Boxer Shorts are out there with this date and lots of people may not get the message of the date change and show up to a re-scheduled ride. Look, I'd like to sleep in too as I'm performing Friday night and Sat night leaving me no sleep time over the weekend but I don't want to miss those who will show up anyway. Those of you who want to wait till Sunday should make seperate arrangements and do so. I'm shure Mrs Gould would love to have you. This ride remains a Rain or Shine event. Dress accordingly. Warm wood stoves, Hot cakes, Waffles, Hot coffee, Corn fritters, Home made syrup and pickles! Posts: 1264 04/03/08 10:35 AM Administrator	unfortunately I won't be able to attend no matter what day you guys go, I have a conflict, so I'll be up in Burlington VT on 4 wheels. That being said one of the most memorable Goulds ride was in the cold rain leaving from the old Box car location. Go for the ride and warm up by the woodstove, enjoy some of that Heated apple cider, and if the weather is better Sunday, go back for seconds ! Waffle, Sausage and Goulds Maple Syrup !

High near 41. Southeast wind at 10 mph becoming northeast. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible. Friday Night: Rain, mainly before 2am. Low around 37. East wind between 5 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible. Saturday: Showers likely, mainly before 8am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 46. North wind between 5 and 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible. Key data here is that overnite Friday low is 37 degrees. Secondary data is the rainfall amounts, which are low. That means I should be able to ride from the house without ice on the roads. Rain - no problemo I find it embarrasing to read some of the above posts. Brain is given a mulligan cuz he's a n00b. Moelaz - shame on you . Colt, I'm gonna miss you, and I promise my handle bars will stay in place this year. It wouldn't be the Goulds ride if we moved it to Sunday. Dana, I'm with you man. Posts: 740 04/05/08 3:44 PM Moderator	It was a Perfect day for the YB's pre-season opening ride. As we flew past houses, farms and fields the temps ranged from the mid 50's in the low lying areas to the high 30's up in the hills. Rivers rushed from the Spring runoff and the mighty Ct. river pregnant at its banks swamping the trees to their trunks. It was exillerating to ride where snow 3 feet deep hugged the shoulders of the roads at the deep thick forrests and long yellow feilds of grass streched out before us in the valleys. In the distance the hills revealed what is left of the late season ski trails. The aroma of cows in the pastures and wood burning in the yards was intoxicating. Farmers were out in their red and black flannel coats with red gas cans in hand preparing to fire up the tractors. I counted 4 radar traps and zero tickets. Thanks to the 26 riders for coming along for the ride. It's always worth the effort. Thanks also to Bob Ain't stoppin' Hadden and Steve Terrien who helped lead the way. Posts: 1070 04/06/08 8:28 AM	Thanks to Dana for another great day. We may not have had pristine roads, but we ate well and had fun. The challenge was met, and we are the YB. I didn't have my real camera on this trip, but the iPhone did duty: Yes, the fire was lit and syrup in the making. This proves that we were, in fact, a bit early this year. MusicMan and DaShopKeep in the parking lot after. We were the last out the gate.
