It's time to replace the 20 year old tires and tubes on my R69S. What do you air heads recommend?
Thank you!

Hello Andy,
Continental still makes the RB2 front and K112 rear in the correct inch sizes. These tires will let the bike ride and handle as originally designed. The rubber compound has been upgraded to modern standards. This combination comes highly recommended by Tom Cutter for classic BMWs. Newer design choices that I have used with some success include the Mich. Macadam series and the Avon Roadrider series. They work well, but the Contis do too and also look correct. Friedle |

Thanks for the advice guys.
Bill how's the grip on the Accolades? I do like to take my turns hot. Also what is the correct size, on superstores site it says the front is a 3.5 X 8 and the rear is 4.0 X 8, prices look great. Do you all recommended rubber tubes? I'd rather deal with losing air gradually then a blow out. Thanks, Andy |

My advice would be to buy black round ones.
