If I ever cage it to a breakfast or event I will bring the 914 and you should drive it. Far, far removed from stock.

Shoot and Scoot was a HOOT! | #54 | ||
|
Roy, Craig, and Bob - Thanks for a wonderful time at the 'shoot and scoot', and
for lending your expertise. I never thought that I would find myself shooting a handgun and enjoying it! Gary and Frank, it was great to go trap shooting with you - I only wish I had scored higher ;-) To all who did not make it, here is a story to give you incentive to go next year -- On the way home I ran into a group of 'outlaw' harley riders - you know the type -- probably posers, but looking real bad and sounding real loud. Very unusually, I found myself not the least bit intimidated - Probably had something to do with the shotgun I had strapped to the back of the bike! Now if I could only find a way to modify one of those 'John Wayne' type leather rifle carriers that go on horses, and get it on the bike in time for next years ride ;-)) -Dr. Mike |

Dr Mike,
Glad you enjoyed yourself! But I got to say, I had a blast! The camping the night before was just fantastic. Great food (Thanks Chef Craig), great BiLevel fire, and a beautiful campsite.............It just don't get any better. And the folks that showed up for the shooting were super! I was a bit concened about safety with so many folks, but with the help of all the LTC folks there to help, it was not only fun, but very safe. Can't wait for next year!

I had a super time as well ! I have never had a Bi- Level camp fire before ! And we were roughing it - So I had to use Bills Grill which I am not used to !
It was fun seeing the enthusiasm that many of our new Expert shooters showed. And when we got around to shooting the Big Ruger with a scope, everyone was hitting the plates ! I hope you all had as much fun as I did. Sunday night the hardest choice - Should I use Shooters Choice or Hoppes 9 ? I used Hoppes just love that smell. Craig |

around for a used P22 - but need to take the LTC course first. Any suggestions of where to take it? I live on the North Shore (Newbury). Thanks! - Mike |

Your best bet is to call your local police department. They have a list of instructors. Or the local gun shop usually has a source.
I will be teaching a course for the YB members that want to take it, but it will be in the Dartmouth Ma area sometime in late May. Stay tuned.........

Contact the Gun Owners Action League at www.goal.org as they offer courses. Also I believe you can take the course at the
Hamilton Wenham Gun & Rod Club or at the Danvers Fish & Game Club. There are links on GOAL's website for all the affiliated clubs in the state.
