I went for a ride with my friend who just got his license and this was his forth ride total and his first ride with me. I let him lead so he could set his own
pace. We were riding on 118 from Warren ( I think) coming into North Woodstock (nh) and rounding a left hand curve at slow speed (approx 30 mph) and my friend
looked to his right over the steep banking and that is where the bike went.
He low sided the bike and bailed just as it went off the embankment. Fortunately I was far enough back to get my bike stopped. He was up in a few seconds and I was very relieved. He was not hurt at all but the damage to his helmet and boot made for a good lesson as to why we wear them. He also had on a good jacket with padding. He mentioned how he felt his elbow hit hard but right on the padding and so his elbow was not hurt. So it was a good lesson and no one was hurt. The bike was still on the temporary plate and had less than 200 miles on it. The bike landed upside down and stayed there with both wheels straight up in the air.
