what's your opinion of Eureka tents |

Specifically this model and how it would do in the rain. I had a bad experience in the rain with an older Eureka tent, so now i'm concerned about getting
another Eureka. Even though this one seems to have everything i want at a good price, i'm just not sure how it will handle the rain.

Looks good, Alum poles with clips allow quick set up. It might be a little narrow for two people, a footprint with a T like the Apex might give you and a
friend a little space of your own.

I have had a couple of Eureka tents and can only say that they have been value for the money.
These days i usually shop at REI, i like their policy "If you are not satisfied bring it back for a no hassle refund" |

I still contend (and I have quite a collection of tents to back it up) that the best motorcycle tent for the $$ is the Cabelas XPG series. I've been using
one for four years now and it went to Alaska and back, being used nearly every night, on two other multi thousand mile, exclusive camping trips and a few times
in the backyard for the grandkids, and it is still in perfect condition.
http://www.cabelas.com see backpacking tents It comes in two sizes, your call... Why I like it........... No pole sleeves....It uses pole "hooks" so you don't end up poking your tent pole through your neighbors tent in a crowded camp site. I hated the pole sleeves on my Eureka. A very generous vestibule so your extra luggage, painers, etc can stay out side the tent, but within easy reach but out of sight and out of the rain. I've left my helmet and boots under this vestibule many times in a driving rain with no issue. Two entrances. One to go in and out of the tent, and the other you use to access the above mentioned painers, and luggage..........(There is another midnight use for this other door, but I'll leave that decision up to you) Simply no sweating.....None, period. GREAT ventilation, yet warm enough to be a three season tent. Lots of little pockets, hooks, hangers, etc inside the tent to hang thing, put your wallet and keys etc. It packs up very small. Easily fits in my GIVI or BMW painers. Very rugged zippers and screen material. If grandkids can't destroy it, it's pretty tough! And at times, they go on sale for $119!

I've never been happy with my Eureka Apex tent. When you try to get out when it is raining,or even in the morning with the cover dew (and it always sweats)
it always gets wet inside when you open the vestibule fly cover. Poor design. The model you posted looks like the same design.

I just ordered this one, i ended up getting it for just over $100 including shipping. It seems like a great deal, the only problem is it's on back order.
It's scheduled to arrive next week but you know how that goes. If it doesn't arrive before damn yankees i think i'll get the Cabelas.
