On August 27 at 3:33am Kristen and I met our baby daughter Willow Eve after 30 hrs of pain med free labor, whew (easy for me to say) I was her birth coach and got to cut the chord.
Willow is doing great now and has been home a week, however she had a rough start becuase of Maconium Aspiration and wound up in the NICU for 8 days. The DR's and nurses were awesome at St. Peters in Albany and two nurses road bikes! I knew she was in good hands. Were sooooo glad she's home now and Willow had her first visit to the pediatrcians office yesterday and got a clean bill of health. How awesome it is to be a Dad! What a trip to hold her and here her coo.
I started work again today after a few weeks off, wish I could have taken more time especially since we moved in to home ownership this past Labor Day! I have a garage, I have a garage!
I was able to take the GS to work this afternoon, short ride is better than no ride. So how many of you continued riding through early-late teen parent hood? Stories please! I plan to keep riding, even though it certainly won't be as much any time soon.
I'd like to get a sidecar rig (great timing with the BMWMOA artciles) even though Willow won't be riding with me anytime soon and when she is I want to be well rehearsed with a sidecar rig. Heids said a R100/7 would make a great side car rig, thoughts? I may sell the K75 to make it happen.
Yawn, Andy
