This whole "riding and kids" thing is a real buggaboo...........As a teenager and when I was first married I rode street bikes and had an extensive "carreer" on dirt bikes....When we had our first child, I used to ride him around the yard on the gas tank with his little helmet on.....But then after one winter, I simply stopped riding. It wasn't a time issue, I always found a way to make time for other "kidless" endeavors, it was a risk decision. I never had a second thought about getting killed, it was getting really hurt and having my young wife and mother have to deal with all that. I resumed riding about ten years ago when the last one (of four) was through with HS. Just my decision, not preaching anything here.........

So now I have a son and son-in-law that have very young children and love to ride. I've never spoken one word about my reason for not riding all those years. They're adults, and they know the risks....they will make up their own minds. But My son-in-law just sold his bike. He told me he had no intention of getting another one at this time. I've offered him use of my bikes but so far he has refused. Maybe he made a decision and is keeping it to himself.....................We'll see

But now, EVERYTHING you do, needs to center around the upbringing and safety of Willow..........This is now mission #1...You and your wife's job is to "build" a person that you will be proud of....And that can help pay our social security down the road...
